It’s finally here, another high street and designer collaboration for you to feast your eyes on!
It’s usually the likes of H&M that are the culprits that showcase designers joining high street stores, but this time River Island surprise at this low priced collection with top designer brand Sibling. Priced between £15-£55 you can get your hands on a little piece of luxury. Past collaborators with River Island Design Forum include Zoe Jordan, Christopher Shannon, Katie Eary and Eudon Choi. Sibling’s 2016 spring collection collaboration focuses on Girly gingham and luxe knitwear to create simple shapes that ooze Sibling’s statement style.
Shop online now or check out in store tomorrow, below are my fave picks of the bunch! First is the cute take on the denim jacket.. It’s pink and gingham! What more could you want? Priced at £55. Perfect for spring and will surely brighten up any wardrobe. And don’t forget accessories with this sweet fluoro pink transparent clutch with additions Pom poms, for only £18!
Yes we all know that Black Friday is only a couple of days away and in honour of this bargain filled event, here’s my best pics of the monochrome trend.
I’ll be buying the black cape from H&M at an incredible £50, perfect for being on trend this winter. I also love the check skirt, which would be ideal with knee high boots and a chunky cable knit, £20 from New Look. Finally, if you are looking for something more daring and want to make a statement this Christmas, go for the tulle ballet skirt from Net-a-Porter, £140.
Monochrome is going nowhere so make sure you stock up!
You may have heard of this incredible brand but if you haven’t, you have now!
Full of interesting lace and macrame, this designer brand really knows how to bring elegance and quirkiness to simple silhouettes. I love the uniqueness of the designs and the transparent sections that create illusions. The colours are vibrant and exciting and offer something unique to the market. The price points aren’t cheap but it really is worth those hard earned pennies.
My all time favourite piece is the Liliana Dress. With a cute collar and see through sections, this midi dress with little lace sleeves is a must have that you can’t find anywhere else, not even a knock off copycat version!
The new AW15 collection is already online to preorder so get your name on the list before it’s too late. Here the cream of the crop, find them at http://www.self-portrait-studio.com
Whether they’re short or long, buckles or lace ups, gladiator sandals are the shoe to buy this summer!
They come in all colours and shapes to suit every style and for every occasion. Personally I do think the long length versions may become tiresome and lose their novelty value but they do look great at a festival or on holiday, but just watch the tan lines! If your not sure either, go for a simple short style in a vibrant metallic or statement white. There’s even the option to combat cold winter nights with the shoe options.
Here are my top ten from the high street right now! Which are your favourite?
When I thought my love for Cambridge Satchels couldn’t become any greater I came across the collaboration with the world renound satchel company and top designer Vivienne Westwood. The simplicity of the print beautifully compliments the three available sizes and three bold colour combinations, everyone will have their own favourite. Available online or in Vivienne Westwood boutiques, I would grab your fave before they sell out. Prices start from £115, almost justifiable! If your not tempted by the prints, here are my favourite statement satchels from the collection.
WARNING: There is currently a 50% off sale so it may leave you with empty pockets.
Feeling daring: Go for the fluoro satchel which will turn heads and surely brighten your wardrobe.
Feeling different: Go for the new magnetic closures or zipped satchels which have easier accessibility and are a subtle twist on the classic.Feeling simple: instead of the classic satchel, the company also make cute over the shoulder bags with a simple clasp closure; perfect for a more formal look. My fave is the new cloud bag which has a scalloped edge.
If you thought fruity fashion was so last year then think again. This year it’s back and it’s bigger than ever. From watermelons to lemons, high street to high end, sunglasses to skirts, printed fruit is everywhere you look so grab a must have whilst it’s hot.
If your still not sure, there are plenty of low cost bargains to be found so grab a cheap and cheerful fashion find whilst they are still in stock.
It’s Friday and that means one thing.. Trying to resist going for a ‘browse’ in your nearest town tomorrow. One thing will lead to another and before you know it you’ll come back with bags full of impulse buys.
Plan ahead and bag one of these perfect Pom Pom shorts instead.
FYI pom poms are here to stay!
